Fortis is currently rolling out new standards to upskill site staff further and provide them with additional training on preventative maintenance via an exciting apprenticeship scheme for our IBA site staff.
The Continuous Improvement Apprenticeship scheme is being run under the guidance of David Laflin, Metal Recovery Process Engineer, with specific focus on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) which is a systematic approach to maintain and improve the performance of the process, safety, product quality and employee satisfaction.
Two apprenticeships are being offered for two different levels of site staff – Level 3 Improvement Technician and Level 4 Improvement Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity for our site staff and will drive continuous improvement of our practices with regards to plant and equipment.
