PLANNING: PROPOSAL TO REPLANT AND EXTEND THE EXISTING A303 IBA PROCESSING PLANT

Background to the Planning Application
The original IBA Processing Facility was granted planning permission in October 2013 and the existing IBA processing plant is now over 10 years old.
WHY REPLANT?
- Replacement and upgrading of the existing plant
- Integrate new, advanced technologies
- Improved recovery of metals
- Increased operational efficiency
- Improved energy efficiency
WHY EXTEND?
- Improve sustainability
- Proposed enhanced IBA recovery facility
- Further refine IBA / Non-ferrous fraction
- Maximise recovery of IBA – an additional 25,000t of Fortistone® IBA Aggregate.
Our Proposal
Seeking to import IBA non-ferrous metal from Fortis’ other facilities – c.41ktpa.
Additional 25,000t Fortistone® IBA Aggregate recovered and available for use in the local construction market.
Proposal generates an additional 13 daily loads representing a 9.9% increase in existing movements into the A303 Enviropark and less than 0.05% increase of total vehicle movements on the A303.
Hours of working to remain as per existing Planning Permission.
No proposed changes to existing site entrance/access and traffic routing.

The business has always been proud to actively support the local villages of Barton Stacey and Longparish through our Community Matters initiative and education, sponsorships, and donations.
We are proud to have been able to contribute to a range of initiatives recently:
Educational Support:
Longparish Little School: Delivered recycling lessons and donated multiple materials (including a vice, wood, nails and tools) for their new woodwork area. Sponsorship of their new Eco-School Plaque (pictured below).
Longparish Primary School: Ran a recycling poster competition with book voucher prizes and contributed financially towards their ‘Lookout’ area.
Barton Stacey Primary School: Gift voucher donation to the PTA (Barton Stacey FROGS) for summer raffle fundraising.
Community Engagement:
Sponsored the Longparish and Barton Stacey Village Fetes.
Supported the Barton Stacey Church Christmas Fair.
Through these efforts, we aim to continue providing learning opportunities, sustainability, and strong community relationships across the villages.
