David project manages new plant developments, installations, and commissioning activities across the business, whilst also maintaining process improvements and standardisation responsibilities across existing sites.  

“Having worked as a Process Development Engineer and then Project Manager in highly regulated industries for over 17 years (Medical Device Manufacture for 15 years and Automotive for another 2 years), joining Fortis threw me into a completely new industry, where there is a totally different mindset and way of doing things.

My aim at Fortis is to identify, deploy and lead engineering technologies and process innovations across our processing facilities. Whilst simultaneously introducing standardised ways of running projects including commissioning activities and implementing day-to-day operational improvements.

Being part of the team that research the most appropriate process controls and monitoring techniques is very rewarding. By using these techniques, the site teams are able to own and make decisions based on actual data. As a result, we are seeing real improvements across our existing sites.
